Leg Grippers The Leg Gripper or Leg band is a feature you will see in most all bike shorts. These grippers or compression is important to prevent the shorts from riding up in the legs. Size Cycle shorts should fit snug with the pad close to the skin or potential benefits of wearing them will be negated. A correctly sized pair of road shorts is essential to make sure that you get the most out of them. When looking at the manufacturer size chart, you will be able to fit into the size bigger or smaller with varying degrees of compression. We suggest the use of the manufacturer’s size chart. If you want the garment to fit you loosely, you can go up a size. Cycling Shorts should fit snug. Care of Pants Padded Bike Shorts need to be laundered each use. The best way care for road shorts is to machine wash and air dry. Padded Bike Shorts are worn “without underwear”. We highly recommend the use and frequent application of an anti-chafe cream for long distance rides. Sizing guesswork? Yeah, me too… But at 5;5″/135lbs – here’s what I got and why! First – this is my first pair of “real” bike shorts with padding, and I absolutely love them!! For most of my rides I’m fine without, but I find that with hillwork or trying out singletrack riding the shorts are definitely the way to go! So there’s that…As for the padding – I saw a couple of people say they felt like diapers. Not my experience at all. It was barely noticeable. Now that said – I’m guessing it depends on your build. I am 5’5″, 135 lbs, and pretty “athletic” in frame. I…

The most helpful review you’ll read Tried on a pair of name brand IQ shorts at the store. They were $80 and “ok” in terms of comfort. So I passed and my boyfriend (advid mtb-er) said to look online as this will be my FIRST time biking.Fast forward; I found these. The size I tried on at the store (in the I brand) was a large.I read ALL of the reviews for these and some said they run so small. Others said fit great. So I took a chance and ordered the size I tried on. Large.I am 5’5 and 155lbs. I…

The padding is nice and thick I am 5’9″ and a size 12. I got the xl and they fit very well. They are a little snug at the bottom. However, they stay in place and don’t ride up while biking. The padding is nice and thick. Great for a long ride. I will probably purchase them in another color. Overall good quality for a good price.
