Padding in just the right places. I have never owned a pair of biking shorts before.. I am a senior (67 years old) and out of shape, I used to be into biking many years ago and decided that I would start back up at a slow (senior) pace!

The waist fits me fine but could be tighter Well, I made the mistake of reading reviews and ordering a size up. I ended up ordering the medium. My waist is 25″ and my hips are 35.5′ (I am 5’4 124 lbs and lift heavy so I’ve got thicker quads/glutes and a narrower waist). Since the sizing chart had such small hip measurement numbers I thought I would have an issue with fitting in to the smaller sizes. However, the material is stretchy (and doesn’t go see through!) so it was no problem fitting my thicker butt and thighs into the…

nice but a bit large I got a size too large which works okay except I think a tighter fit is best so that the two pads are in the correct area, where thigh and hip joints while sitting on the bike seat and bouncing over a rough streets.I have a support pad from similar pads used for Figure Skating which are about 1/4 inch thick and stiff. I add that on top of these pads. It felt fine with both on “older” hip bones.
