The NOCO Xgrid XGS9 versus the GoalZero Nomad 7… I own both the NOCO and GoalZero Nomad 7 (version 1, not 2). Both are very well built, rugged devices that should survive a lot of use and abuse. Besides the price, there are significant between the two:

Not as useful as I’d thought it would be I tested this out for the first time on a camping trip this weekend. Basically, you can use this 2-panel solar grid to charge a device or the included XGB3 battery pack. (I also tried charging a larger XGB6 battery pack, which worked. Slowly.)

I Like It a Lot This portable solar panel is quite compact. When folded, it is about the size of one of those zippable flip open CD storage cases, just under 7×7 inches. If it wasn’t for the power socket sticking out center bottom it would only be ½ inch thick. On the opposite side there is an elastic cargo net pouch that can store CD’s, maps, phone etc. The top edge is open.
