Quite a drop off from P.R.O. to elite series I own 5 pairs of PI PRO series bib shorts and figured I’d give the Elite series a shot on sale. The material quality and fit is there, but the chamois itself is a huge drop off in comfort. I spend 1-3 hours in the saddle 5 days a week and the sit bones weren’t too happy after using this bib. For those who haven’t tried the PRO series, spend the extra cash and switch from the orange (elite) pad to the red (PRO). I’ll stick with the comfort I’ve become accustomed to. UPDATE – ENDED UP…

I have this elite version and the elite ltd. The difference is barely noticeable. The pad is the same. Panel shapes differ and there is a slight difference in the fabric in the straps, but they are equal in comfort. The ltd does not have leg grippers, but they both do not ride up. I feel the pad is a little narrow around the nose of my bike seat, a Romin Evo, but I’ve gotten used to it. If you “like the designs” go with the “ltd”. If not go with the elite, which I prefer.
