Top quality I got these for the really cold mornings here in San Diego. HaHA. Actually I didn’t think I would need the long pants, but read some review that said if the air temp is below 60 degrees, you should cover your knees so the joints stay warm. I do wear them on warmer days that get up to 60 and have never felt they were too hot.

Sizing After reading reviews on Pearl Izumi’s entry-level tight and their other products, I decided to buy a Large in the Elite Thermal tight–even though I’m 5’8″ and weigh 137. The Large is too long in the inseam and generally a little “roomier” than I’d prefer, but otherwise is a decent fit…leading me to conclude that Pearl Izumi does indeed run small. FWIW, I’m ordering a second pair in Medium.

Performs as Promised I have found past cycling tights too restrictive but the Pearl iZUMI’s have changed my mind. The construction, material and design of these tights move with you through the pedal stroke.
