Not for cold conditions I’ve found them to be completely inadequate. They aren’t wind resistant at all. I’ve worn them for my 8.5 commute along Chicago’s lakefront in low 40′ and my hands were frigid. I’m not sure what temperature they would be useful. If it’s in the 50’s I probably wouldn’t wear thermal protection.

Thermal – Neot in my book I bike 13 miles a day, lately in temps in the low 30’s. Even with a second pair of biking gloves on top my hands still freeze and finger tips grow numb. They may be called thermal but don’t work for me.

What I have come to expect from Pearl Izumi Comfortable, stylish and what I expected. While not a cold weather glove, I found this glove to be able to keep my hands warm in the 40’s degree area with out much trouble, While I have not ridin in weather colder than that with them I get the feeling that as you approach the freezing mark the more your going to need to discard these and on a thermal glove. I have worn them outside on a couple of our 30 degree mornings and I could certainly feel the cold creeping in.
