If you are petite (I’m 5’0”)… (compared 3 Pearl Izumi models) After going to several bike shops in town and trying on women’s shorts that were always too big and baggie for me (I’m 5’0”, 118 lbs with a 31” waist around belly button..got some inches to loose!) I decided to get some shorts from Amazon that I could not find/try at the store, per REI salesman recommendation I went with Pearl Izumi. I got a size bigger than I probably needed because … I got a size bigger than I probably needed because they were way cheaper, but they fit decently with the side adjustments so no complaints (just a little less fitted than I expect they would be if I had gotten the correct size). I’m 5’10” and these shorts go to my knee, so if you’re short, they are probably not for you unless you want them to go below your knee. 10/10 will buy again! These are my new favorite MTB shorts. I put them through the wringer in Utah and they held up amazingly well. I even fell into some sharp rocks and they never tore, although the skin underneath did.
